A NPI manager is responsible to lead/execute/ensure all New Product Introduction (NPI) launches are managed, monitored, and executed flawlessly. The individual will work with all teams involved in NPI process such as R&D, Ops, Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Quality to manage the stage gate process, and ensure smooth transitions of product from development to commercialization.  This individual will record data, build timelines, and hold all parties accountable for meeting their commitments to this process.



  • Support commercialization process redesign and future state implementation, including preparation and organization of workshops, documentation of findings and formulation of optimized process.
  • Substantially contribute to the design and creation of meeting cadences and documentation guidelines and platforms (FORUM meetings, NPI meetings).
  • Support the development and improvement of the project progress tracking, project standardization, and tracking tools.


  • Collaborate with sales, R&D, supply chain (purchasing, planning and logistics) and manufacturing to support the commercialization process. Management of 10-20 projects at a time.
  • Monitor and document project progress, and intervene when major obstacles arise.
  • Assume major role in the documentation of lessons learned and creation of future improvement processes.
  • Serve as a center figure to support project progress and communication between various departments.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and contribute to the solution of problems and challenges.
  • Support the reviews, upon completion of new product introductions, to verify product performance ( manufacturability, quality, financial) as projected
  • Responsible for project portfolio reporting, resource tracking for all project related activities.

  • A bachelor degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project-management and support. Food industry experience preferable.
  • PM certification preferred, equivalent project management experience acceptable.
  • Demonstrated leadership and/or achievement in prior roles in Business Development, R&D, Supply Chain, or other similar functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs that have required presentations and reviews to company senior leadership, board and/or to customers.
  • Demonstrated industry-specific knowledge and capability to lead large number of projects from concept development through production launch.
  • Solid understanding of multiple technologies and customer sub-markets. Nutritional bar / powder industry experience preferable.
  • Proficient in computer tools and systems (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with project management software tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Accolade, Oracle PPM, etc.) is useful.
